Liveciety Community Guidelines
Liveciety is a platform where you can buy, sell, and connect with others. Our mission is to foster an enjoyable and trustworthy buying and selling community.
We have Community Guidelines to create a welcoming and safe experience. The guidelines apply to everyone and everything on our platform. They include rules and standards for what is allowed on Liveciety. As Liveciety evolves, the guidelines are updated on an ongoing basis.
We have the following User Activity Policies to foster a positive and safe online experience for all our users.
Harassment and Bullying
To ensure a safe and respectful environment for everyone, we strictly prohibit harassing, degrading, or bullying statements or behavior. This includes responding to such acts with retaliatory harassment. This pertains to ALL users including buyers and sellers.
Hate Speech and Hateful Behavior
We do not allow any hate speech, hateful behavior, or promotion of hateful ideologies. This includes explicit or implicit content that attacks a protected group. We do not allow the presence of violent and hateful organizations or individuals on our platform. These actors include violent extremists, violent criminal organizations, violent political organizations, hateful organizations, and individuals who cause serial or mass violence. If we become aware that any of these actors may be on our platform, we will conduct a thorough review - including off-platform behavior - which may result in an account ban.
Illegal, harmful, and violent activity
- We do not allow any violent threats, promotion of violence, incitement to violence, or promotion of criminal activities that may harm people, animals, or property.
- We do not allow showing, promoting, or engaging in sexual or physical abuse or exploitation.
Self Harm
We do not allow showing, promoting, or sharing plans for suicide or self-harm.
Sexual Activity and Services
We do not allow sexual activity or services. This includes sex, sexual arousal, fetish and kink behavior, and seeking or offering sexual services.
Nudity and Body Exposure
We do not allow nudity. This includes bare genitalia, buttocks, nipples of women OR men, and sheer clothing that reveals any of said genitalia or nipples.
Fraudulent Activity and Scams
We want you to be able to use Liveciety to learn about ways to be financially responsible and consider economic transactions or investment opportunities, without worrying about scams or financial exploitation. We do not allow users who engage in deceptive account practices or who attempt to defraud or scam members of our community including but not limited to following activities:
- Fraudulent activity and scams, including filing fraudulent payment disputes
- Selling unauthentic items as authentic, doing so will result in an immediate ban of your account and any associated account from the platform
- Using stolen payment information
- Phishing behavior
- Bot activity; including bot bidding, or bot spam
- Impersonating others or deliberately misrepresenting your identity
Youth Safety
You must be 18 years and older to have an account. If we learn someone is below the minimum age to have an account on Liveciety, we will ban that account. Anyone can report accounts that they suspect are under the minimum age.
We do not allow content that may put young people at risk of psychological, physical, or developmental harm. If we become aware an account holder has a severe violation or has committed a sexual offense against a young person, we will ban the account, as well as any other accounts belonging to that person.
We do not allow any activity, comment, item or display that sexualizes minors, or that shows or promotes youth sexual or physical abuse or exploitation, this includes "joking around" about these acts. This includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, sexual solicitation, pedophilia, and physical or psychological harm of young people.
We report incidents of youth sexual abuse and exploitation to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). We also report to relevant law enforcement authorities when there is a specific, credible, and imminent threat to human life or serious physical injury.
Regulated Goods and Commercial Activities
We do not allow the trade or marketing of regulated, prohibited, or high-risk goods and services.
Gambling
We do not allow gambling or gambling-like activities.
Counterfeit Goods
We do not allow the sale, trade, marketing, or gifting of counterfeit goods on our platform.
Counterfeit goods are unauthorized replicas of genuine products, designed to deceive consumers into believing they are purchasing legitimate items. These imitations often infringe on trademarks, copyrights, or patents, violating intellectual property rights.
Alcohol, Tobacco, and Drugs
We do not allow the trade of alcohol, tobacco products, and or drugs. We also do not allow showing, possessing, or using illicit drugs.
Firearms and Dangerous Weapons
We do not allow the trade or marketing of firearms or explosive weapons, or showing or promoting firearms or explosive weapons in our livestreams.
Personal Information
We do not allow content that includes personal information that may pose a risk of stalking, violence, phishing, fraud, identity theft, or financial exploitation.
Participating in Giveaways
We want our whole community to participate in and enjoy giveaways, which requires giveaways to be fair for all users.
Each user is allowed one entry per eligible giveaway and must submit entries manually. If we identify giveaway abuse, violation of our terms, or giveaway rules, such as entry into an unnatural number of giveaways, we may suspend eligibility to enter giveaways. We reserve the right to cancel any giveaway order where the winning entrants violated our terms or giveaway rules, such as accounts entering a single giveaway using multiple accounts.
We detect violations and determine limits through automated signals, and if needed, human review. If you suspect a user is abusing our giveaway feature, please report it.
Feature Abuse Policies
Shill Bidding
To ensure buyers can trust all bids are authentic, Liveciety prohibits shill bids. Shill bids are bids placed by the seller, or a user affiliated with a seller in order to artificially inflate the item price, whether from the same or separate accounts. Users affiliated with a seller include but are not limited to a seller's employees, associates, friends, relatives or household members. Shill bidding may also violate laws in your jurisdiction. Liveciety monitors all bids and transactions and takes action on accounts suspected of shill bidding.
Troll bidding
Liveciety prohibits troll bids. Troll bids are excessively high or otherwise fake bids placed by buyers to disrupt the seller's process or without the intention of actually purchasing the item.
Giveaway Abuse
We strictly prohibit any "bots" or form of automated or programmatic giveaway entry. All entries made by these methods will be voided, and your account access may be limited if found utilizing these methods to enter and win giveaways.
Abusing Liveciety products and features
In order to protect the integrity of our platform, we prohibit any abuse or manipulation of products or features on Liveciety. This includes abuse of our support processes, shipping pricing, paying for reviews, excessively rescheduling shows, deceptive manipulation of discovery or ranking (such as intentionally mistagging content, or excessively rescheduling shows), as well as abuse of specific features.
Enforcement
Violating our policies and rules will lead to enforcement actions on accounts. When a user violates these policies, we take proportional action based on that user's previous violations, and the severity of the violation. In some cases this means removing access to Liveciety features, while in others it means more severe account penalties. In most circumstances, we warn users and send educational messaging before penalizing their account. We will ban accounts or account holders if they engage in:
- A single severe violation
- Repeated violations of any nature
- Circumventing enforcement of our guidelines
This includes all activity that has a primary purpose that is not allowed on our platform, such as accounts focused on hate speech, the trade or marketing of prohibited goods, spam, or impersonation. In the case of severe violations of our rules or engagement in circumvention behavior, we may also ban any other existing accounts of the account holder on our platform.
We will also ban an account if we become aware that the account holder is a violent or hateful actor or has committed a sexual offense against a young person. We consider off-platform activity related to violence, hate, and child sexual abuse or exploitation to help make decisions about these account bans. We report accounts to law enforcement authorities if there is a specific, credible, and imminent threat to human life or serious physical injury.
